Moore, Caribbean Trademark Services, West Palm Beach, Florida, U.S.A Verifier: Paul de Weerd, Superintendent, Financial Services Commission, Turks & Caicos Islands, British West Indies The government of the Turks & Caicos Islands adopted in April the Trade Marks (Amendment) Act 2000 which provides that:
Service marks may be registered in the jurisdiction;
International Classes 35-42 are added for registration of service marks; and
A mark may be assigned or transferred either with or without the goodwill of the business with which the mark is associated.
The Turks & Caicos Islands are a British Dependent Territory in which applications for trademarks can be filed either locally or based upon a current UK registration.
